Hope you are all having a great week and are getting ready for the Easter Bunny!
After reading the article in the news about the “misunderstanding” of insurance by a couple away on vacation it brings to light how important it is to know what “you” have for protection. Having insurance does not mean that you will 100% be protected. Here are a couple of good insurance stories that I have had the pleasure of being a part of last week.
1) First a customer went into a Dealership to say thank you for having insurance on their loan as her husband had passed with Parkinson’s. When she filled out the paperwork after he had passed away she assumed that the insurance would not be covered by this loan as he had Parkinsons when the vehicle was purchased. She was very surprised and happy when the loan was paid in full within 30 days of the paperwork being filled out. The Business Manager could not believe it himself! It is nice when you do what you say you are going to do and that is to protect your client.
Now Story # 2
2) The other story is another Dealership asked me to contact one of their clients as they had some concerns. The concerns were about a pre-existing condition of the husband and wondering if they would be covered as they were at another Dealer and they did not offer SSQ insurance. They questioned why a Dealer would expect them to purchase a $70,000 vehicle and not offer insurance that would protect both partners. I can happily say that the Dealer has since signed on with us.
It is always our duty not only to protect our Dealer but our reputation as well, if there is a better product out there that protects our customers it should be offered and let them choose.
Do you still have some questions concerning this? I would gladly answer your questions!
